Learning to Love, Loving to Learn

April 20, 2010

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known. ~ Carl Sagan

Can I just say that I love learning new things! It’s just as much fun as I always thought it would be to go to classes to hear knowledgeable or passionate people lecture, well, on just about anything, especially when you don’t have to worry about being graded. I recently heard someone say that learning something new was like falling in love. Exactly!

My friend Jamie came with me to a talk on journaling at the YW this noon. The speaker was interesting, although I find her claim that journaling can lead to obtaining your dream home — mortgage free!– and meeting your soul mate to be pretty far-fetched. : ) She had us do some cool writing exercises, though.

The summer continuing education catalog from the local community college came today. I can’t wait to look at it and imagine what the courses would be like, to see if there are any to help me advance my goals on the list. I’ll let you know!

P.S. Dear Carl Sagan, It’s not just something, but Someone who is waiting to be known. But you know that by now. Love, Noreen
